Racing School
Our racing school program emphasizes that karting should be both fun and challenging for racers of any level. Racing school instructors lead students between classroom lessons and hands-on driving instruction. Students can learn to apply what they have learned in the classroom to the track immediately, creating an ideal learning environment.
Endurance karting Racing School has taught over 1,000 students the art and science not to mention the pure excitement of motor racing. Whether you're simply looking to have an unforgettably good time, shave the last tenth off your lap time or build corporate camaraderie in no time, we offer a course for you.
The Endurance Karting Racing School will travel to go kart race tracks in Las Vegas, NV, Jacksonville, FL, Charlotte, NC, South Bend, IN and Lime Rock, CT.
Each racing school day begins with registration and then racing school students are introduced to the basics of karting competition. The workshop begins with an early morning orientation. Racing school instructors then familiarize students with the mechanics and design of the races they will use in karting competition. The group is then brought to the classroom to learn the meaning of racing flags, and basic karting rules.
Following the first classroom instruction, racing school students are brought to the track and get behind the wheel for the first time. Staying at a slow, constant speed, the group becomes familiar with the race, and learns the proper line of driving.
Racing school instructors then teach the group to become comfortable with braking. Each student practices to control the race while braking during turns. After braking instruction, racing school students are brought up to a slightly higher speed, and begin to practice passing on straight-aways.
Again, racing school students learn to adjust to a slightly higher driving speed, and practice controlling the race with other racers close by. Instructors also begin to emphasize staying in correct racing line at higher speed, points of braking and acceleration, and open passing.
As the day winds down, racing school instructors take students on a walk of the track to review correct racing line and discuss ways of reading the track surface. Racing school students then pair up for longer, high speed sessions, and to practice correct driving changes. Instructors also work individually with each student on difficult turning corners.
The racing school day ends with drivers teaming up to experience LeMans Start for the first time. Students also learn to change drivers during competition, and practice the lessons learned during racing school in a real-time racing situation.
